Rooms that match the group
Who needs a door that closes, who is working nights, who is fine sharing. Sleeping arrangements come from the shape of the team, not a number on a listing.
Sundance Film Festival · Boulder
The Sundance Film Festival runs January 21 to 31, 2027, and Boulder holds it through at least 2037. What follows is the practical version: where the venues are, what a working team actually needs from a house, and who to call.
Boulder has roughly 2,900 hotel rooms. A festival of this size does not fit inside them, and the difference gets made up by private homes.
As that market takes shape, the difference between a house and a hospitality experience becomes important. The right home is only the beginning. Someone needs to know the property, understand the guest, prepare the details, and be there when something goes wrong at eleven at night.

People eat at two in the afternoon and again at midnight during a festival. That asks more of a kitchen than a place set up for one dinner a night.
A table everyone can fit around, plus a second room for the call that cannot happen in the same space as everyone else.
Teams do not always turn up in one car. Better to settle that before January than at the curb.
Every VelareLX stay has a dedicated Home Host for its entire length. Someone who knows the home, knows the guest, and is there when something needs attention.
Three collections, matched to the shape of the group rather than to a headcount.
1–3 Bedrooms · Explore Intimate Retreats
3–5 Bedrooms · Explore The Signature Residences
5+ Bedrooms · Explore The Grand Estates
The venues cluster rather than sprawl, which is the whole reason a walkable stay works here.
Boulder Theater · eTown Hall
Both sit on the downtown grid within a few blocks of the Pearl Street mall.
Dairy Arts Center · Macky Auditorium · Boulder High School · Casey Middle School
Just off the core: the Dairy to the east, Macky at the near edge of the CU campus, Boulder High along the creek, and Casey Middle north of downtown.
Chautauqua Auditorium · Cinemark
Outside a comfortable walk in January. Chautauqua sits at the base of the Flatirons, Cinemark east of the centre.
Fifteen venues are confirmed for the festival. Most sit downtown or just off it, including Boulder Theater, eTown Hall, the Dairy Arts Center, Boulder High School, Casey Middle School and the library's Canyon Theater. Three more theaters sit on the University of Colorado campus, with Chautauqua and Cinemark a short drive from the center.
